Miss Claire Rosie – Chief Instructor and School Owner(2nd Degree Black Belt, EE Dan)

Miss Rosie began training in Choi Kwang-Do in 2001 at the age of 13 and became an Assistant Instructor in April 2002.  She achieved her Il Dan ( 1st degree black belt ) in September 2003 at an International Seminar in Aberdeen in front of Grandmaster Choi and was promoted to Chief Instructor in July 2006.  Claire was graded to EE Dan in June 2007 by Master Keith Banfield ( 5th degree black belt and one of the most senior Choi Kwang-Do instructors in the UK ). She completed a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science at the Robert Gordon University in June 2008 and is currently studying with the Scottish Massage Schools for a Diploma in Swedish Massage, with the aim of progressing to Remedial and Sports Massage.  Claire also works as a fitness instructor in Aberdeen.

Mrs. Sandra Rosie – Instructor (2nd Degree Black Belt, EE Dan)

Mrs. Rosie has been training in Choi Kwang-Do since 2001.  She became an Assistant Instructor in April, 2002 and was promoted to Chief Instructor in January, 2005.  She also achieved her Il Dan in September 2003 at the International Seminar in Aberdeen in front of Grandmaster Choi. In November 2006 Mrs Rosie attained her second degree black belt (EE Dan) and combines teaching and training in Choi Kwang- Do with a full-time job as a Resourcing Manager.

Mr. Ian Rosie - Instructor (1st Degree Black Belt, Il Dan)

Mr. Rosie started training in Choi Kwang-Do in 2001, having previously obtained a black belt in Tae Kwon Do a number of years earlier. He became an Assistant Instructor in April, 2002 and was promoted to Chief Instructor in February, 2004. He achieved his Il Dan in September 2003. In April 2005, just after opening his own CKD school in Kintore, Mr Rosie had a serious accident and broke his neck, sustaining severe and lasting nerve damage and partial paralysis down one side of his body. After taking a break from Choi Kwang-Do for a couple of years, he has recently resumed training and teaching at Garthdee and truly demonstrates the Choi Kwang-Do principles of perseverance and unbreakable spirit.

All Choi Kwang-Do instructors are fully qualified and insured, receive regular first-aid training and are disclosure checked.
